Chirivico is a picturesque town far from the typical tourist routes. Despite it doesn’t have great tourist attractions, it is ideal to observe the Cuban day to day.
You can swim in some of the numerous beaches in the Cayman Trench with crystalline waters, in this side of Cuba.
You can also follow the hiking trail starting in Calentura, 4 Km to the west of Chirivico, specially for advanced hikers, as it is a 20 km route crossing the Sierra Maestra Mountains until Los Horneros. If you are a hiker, don’t miss this experience in the Tropical mountains.
Once in Los Horneros, it is so easy to find a passenger's lorry to Guisa. It is recommendable to prepare the trips in advance, in Santiago or Chivirico, to avoid problems with the local authorities.
Visit El Uvero, so close to Chivirico, approximately 20 Km to the west by the coast rad, an important place in the Revolution.
