Cayo Sabinal (Sabinal Cay) is located 22 km north to Nuevitas and it belongs to Sabana-Camagüey Archipelago, Cuba. This coral cay of incredible beauty should be called Sabinal island, since it is completely separated from the town by estuaries, bays and inlets. Its name comes from the abundant presence of Sabina tree on it.

Covered with swampy ground, lagoons and marshes, the island is home of numerous species of animals: field mice, wild boars, butterflies, flamingos and iguanas.

Cayo Sabinal Cay is formed by Playa Bonita Beach, Playa Brava Beach and Playa Los Pinos Beach essentially, and linked to the Cuban island through stone causeways that also give access to Cayo Coco Cay and Cayo Guillermo Cay, both of them belonging to the Jardines del Rey Gardens.
