Cueva de San Miguel (San Miguel Cave) is located in Valle San Vicente, 4 km from Viñales. This beautiful underground enclave has the unique attraction of a dark and chilling scene of the escape and settlement of the runaway slaves in the caves of the mountains.

Historically, San Miguel Cave has a unique historical past as it served as a refuge for the natives and slaves in pre-Columbian times. Its small dimensions mean that you can enjoy a tour of the interior of this wonderful cave in a short time.

The exit from the cave leads you directly to the entrance of a famous restaurant, El Palenque de los Cimarrones. Do not miss the opportunity to taste the typical ingredients of Cuban cuisine prepared in the pure Creole style.
