The Rocazul Biopark is located in the Western area of the Naranjo Bay, in the province of Holguín, Cuba.
This beautiful Natural Park, opened in 2005, is compound by an exquisite flora and fauna you will discover when you are on a tour by its numerous paths.
On your visit to the biopark you can enjoy the four main areas of the place, accompanied by nice eco-guides which will show all the secrets of this beautiful landscape. Furthermore, it is an ideal place to do different activities, from hiking and trekking to wildlife navigation or diving.
The area of the Sendero Rocazul Path is made of blue rocks with more than 70 million years old, known as serpentinites and, among other attractions, exhibits archeological representations of the former Cuban inhabitants.
The Sendero Loma El Templo Hill Path, which takes its name from the most important elevation of the area, Loma del Templo Hill, is made by precious wood trees, medicinal plants, animals such as the hutia, birds and reptiles. From here you will see the beauty of the landscape described by Columbus on his diaries.
Other of the outstanding areas is the Finca Monte Bello Ranch, which represents the most rooted traditions and culture of the Cuban countryside. On it you can visit the Casa de Compay Kike House, where you will have the chance of trying the most typical dishes of the Cuban cuisine; the gardens, specialized in different varieties of coffee and medicinal plants; or the presence of domestic and exotic animals.
The Ensenada El Manantial Cove is another of the key places in the biopark. It is an ideal place to practice different aquatic activities such as snorkel and sailing. Here there are also organized tours to el manantial, to the Pájaros Cay, natural sanctuary of the marine birds; and the trip known as Snorkel: An Underwater Story, where you will explore the absorbing seabeds.
