Visit the Heredia Street, the most lively street in the night of Santiago de Cuba where Cuban young people meet for having fun, dancing and enjoying the vibrant nightlife of the city. Every Saturday night, the street is so crowded that you cannot walk along it just to see the different cultural activities that are performed there.
This centric street, where the first American Romantic poet was born, take his name José María Heredia, and converts it in synonim of music and fun for everyone who is willing to live the experience of the Cuban night.
Walk along the famous street and reach the Casa de la Trova where you can listen and dance Cuban rhythms during the performances that offers. Furthermore, you can visit the José María Heredia Birth-House and see the house where the poet was born and now is a museum that was declared Tangible National Monument. You can also visit the Nuestra Señora de la Asunción Cathedral along with the Archdiocesan Museum in the same building.
